What will Morgan Frost receive for his next deal?

Frost, a Canadian born in Aurora Ontario, was drafted in 2017 in the first round 27th pick overall. As a centerman, he currently stands at 5' 11" and 170 pounds and has become a fixture along the lines of the Flyers this past season.

Head coach John Tortorella has moved him up and down the lineup for various reasons. Whether it's due to injuries to other centers across the team or a willingness to try him in different roles to see where he fits, Frost certainly has some upside to it which is music to the Flyers' ears.

During this season, he played 81 games, scored 19 goals with 27 assists for 46 points. One sore spot in his record is having a - 12. He held 24 penalty minutes.

With his small sample size in his second full season with the Flyers, Frost holds the restricted free-agent moniker to his name. It means that the Flyers hold the rights to his contract and what he will get for a raise until he has arbitration.

With these numbers and the fact the Flyers have 15 players under contract and 13.9 million in cap space with LTIR included, In my opinion, I expect the 24-year-old to sign a new deal at three years worth $9 million.

This, will hold the Flyers at a cap space of three million per season and being a centerman who will probably be on the second or third lines would warrant this kind of contract.

His numbers indicate that he has room to improve. The Flyers will improve the team his value will go up significantly. If he continues to rise quicker, it also makes him a tradeable commodity to a contender wanting to take a shot at the Stanley Cup.
