After a night of clubbing and partying at strip clubs in Tampa Bay, the Florida Panthers have finally been sent golfing by the Lightning who swept their rivals to make it once again to the East conference finals.
For many Panthers' players, it will be a long summer and for their management, a lot of pondering about what went wrong.
Flyers reporter Jamie Baskow has many of the same questions as we do regarding the future of one man in particular,
Claude Giroux.
"The Flyers should not sign him, that ship has sailed. No disrespect, but it's time to move forward."

Will he return to Philadelphia? Will he sign an extension with the Panthers? Will Giroux test free agency, or is this where he hangs up the skates?
At 34, Giroux made around 4.1 million with the Panthers this season. Albeit 50% of his salary was retained by the Flyers. If he were to re-sign, it's certain that he is not with $8 million anymore.
If Giroux were to chase the Cup somewhere else, would the Avs be interested? His last contact, according to CapFriendly, is comparable to the likes of the ones signed by
Brayden Point,
Evgeny Kuznetsov and
Ryan Johansen.
Giroux is better than he latter two for sure.
Backstrom makes $9.125 million until 2024-25 and Marchand $6.125 million until the same year. The average of those contracts is 7.627 million. Could we see a team sign Giroux to a 2-year deal at around the same AAV?
This postseason, he had 3 goals and 5 assists in 10 playoff games playing on a stacked offensive roster.
