"There's lots of hockey news across the world at the moment thanks to NHL prospects and European leagues cancelling their seasons. The NHL's 2019-20 season remains in limbo but leagues overseas have all cancelled their seasons so that means free agents are ready to sign NHL contracts. It also means they're able to jump leagues within Europe and that's exactly what one Philadelphia Flyers prospect has done. According to Alexander Appleyard, Flyers 2015 3rd round pick Matej Tomek will make a big jump next season. The 22 year old goalie will move from the Slovakian league and play with SaiPa in in SM-Liiga. Jumping from the Slovakian professional league to the Finnish Elite League is a big jump competition and will help grow the young goalies game and shows he's trending up at the moment. Tomek had a 2.21 goals against average and .930 save percentage in 27 games last year.
