"Well, right after Philadelphia Flyers general manager Ron Hextall announced a boost to his team with a recent trade, he had some bad news to announce on Tuesday. The Flyers GM announced that both forward Wayne Simmonds and goalie Michal Neuvirth are going to miss an extended period of time. The Neuvirth announcement is no surprise as he'll be out 4-6 weeks with a lower body injury which lead to the Petr Mrazek trade. While Simmonds has been battling injuries all season, it's a bit of a surprise that he'll be missing time. Hextall announced that Simmonds will miss 2-3 weeks with an upper body injury. It's a bit of a blow as Simmonds lead the team with 10 power play goals which is fifth in the NHL. He's also scored 20 or more goals for five consecutive seasons now. As a result the Flyers have also called up forward Oskar Lindblom.
Per #Flyers GM Ron Hextall, F Wayne Simmonds will be out 2-3 weeks with an upper-body injury, while G Michal Neuvirth will be out 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury.https://t.co/yVHqVhp2zY
